I can really see the muscle definition in my arms when I'm working out. I have also noticed a lot more back muscle! I love seeing the progress in the gym and in pictures!

My waist feels so small! This is something I've never experienced. 

My jeans that my boyfriend shrunk in the dryer last year fit now, so that's pretty cool! They were my favorites and like $100 😂  so now I don't have to buy new ones!

Ordered a new workout outfit and it fit like a glove. Looked exactly like the picture online so that was badass. Discovered that new workout outfits give me more motivation to go to the gym! (Very girly of me I know 😂)

Using the recipe builder so I can pretty much eat whatever I make for my family is awesome I really can't believe how much food I get to eat.

Hey, I'm Jen!

CEO of Empower Health and Fitness

As a Physician Assistant, I struggled with my fitness journey despite my medical knowledge. Hiring a fitness coach transformed my life, teaching me how to maintain health amidst a hectic schedule. Inspired, I founded JennyJeanFitness, LLC in 2015, which has evolved into Empower Health and Fitness, LLC.

Now leading a team of six, our mission is to empower others to take control of their lives, fostering confidence and strength for a healthy, balanced lifestyle. I hold a Bachelor’s in Health Sciences, a Master's as a Physician Assistant, and am a NASM-certified Personal Trainer, with experience in sports medicine, spine/orthopedics, pain management, and wound care.

Hi, I'm Michelle!

Assistant Coach

Hi, I'm Michelle! With a bachelor's in athletic training and 11 years of experience working with athletes, I also hold a degree as a physical therapist assistant and am NASM nutrition certified.

 

My journey began in college with weightlifting and CrossFit, where I initially focused more on working out hard than on proper nutrition. After struggling with knee injuries and dealing with a hectic schedule of varying shifts, I learned the importance of preparation for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Disappointed with standard meal plans, I turned to an online personal training company similar to Empower.

 

Over the last five years, I've immersed myself in learning to fuel my body effectively, building the muscle and shape I'm proud of today. I'm passionate about helping others gain confidence, build lifelong habits, and transform their lives through health and fitness.

I started Coaching after years of owning & operating my own Accounting Business. 

I struggled with weight loss trying to balance work, family, and fitness. I struggled with restrictive diets, only losing 1-2 lbs by not eating or not 

eating "real" food, feeling exhausted and then gaining it all back and more. I was frustrated. It was a continual cycle of fad diets, lack of energy and 

hours and hours of cardio. I discovered a passion for nutrition and strength training through my own journey! I stopped being frustrated! 

I learned how to properly eat to fuel my body. I learned how to train for strength, and reduce the excess cardio and hours at the gym. 

I learned by using simple habits that make it achievable to keep fat off and still have a balanced lifestyle.

 

I want to help women lose fat and keep it off without using restrictive fad diets or only doing hours and hours of cardio. I want to help women redefine 

what's "healthy" and finally create long term,sustainable changes. Together, let's work to help you achieve success!!

Hi, I'm Sydney!

Hey there! My name is Sydney Hibbard, and I am SUPER pumped to be joining the Empower team and community!

A little bit about me - I'm 30 years old, and I live in a small town in Kansas with my husband and our 3 cats, Link, Zelda and Phantom. In my spare time, you can catch me listening/singing to music, playing board games with my friends/family, reading a good book, and spending time outdoors.

I found my passion in coaching and empowering other women after going through my own health journey. When I was 19 and moved out on my own, I started struggling with depression and anxiety, and I turned to food as a comfort source. As a result, I gained 120lbs in 2 years, and the next few years were filled with near constant attempts to lose it.

At first, I just wanted to lose weight and be thinner, and I truly didn't care how I got there - no matter how extreme the method. I tried special creams, wraps, teas, cleanses, meal plans, and diets - anything that promised large amounts of weight loss in a short time period. I'd sometimes see a few pounds lost, but nothing that ever lasted. I eventually worked myself into a pretty severe binge eating disorder. All the while, constantly speaking to/about myself terribly. It was exhausting, and I was terrified that I would never achieve my goals or feel comfortable in my skin.

Everything changed for me one day when I decided to stop trying to "hate myself skinny", and started trying to support myself healthy, no matter how long it took me. I hired my own first coach, and learned so much from her about how to use nutrition to best fuel my body's needs. I stopped focusing solely on being thin, and start embracing my strength. I learned to stop viewing food as my enemy. I shifted my mindset from hating my body to being proud of her abilities.

As I continued achieving my own fitness goals, I began to realize that I wanted to help other women have these same shift and transformations, to help educate them and overcome their own obstacles. I dove headfirst into learning what I needed to in all things related to fitness, nutrition and mindset work! My certifications include NASM CPT, OFNC, HMCC, Pure PROgramming, and IIN Health Coach.

Helping my clients along their path of healing their relationships with food and their own bodies brings me so much joy, and seeing them break through mental/physical barriers and grow is pure magic to me!
